Re: flings
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 5:44 AMCan't do it. I end up with guilt or feeling used.
You know, actually, I'm kind of sick of the whole dating scene in general right now...

Re: flings
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 6:23 AMI do *really well* in long term monogamous relationships, but when I'm not in one I don't have a problem with flings, friends with benefits, etc. But I do like them to have some "meaning" such as, Will the encounter(s) ultimately expand your current friendship with that person? If it's just cut and dry sex...then no. I'm not into that. -

Re: flings
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 12:27 PMI'm not capable of having flings. If I like the person enough to share that kind of intimacy, I don't want there to be constraints on how close we may get.
I'm quite an expert on "affairs" these days, though.... -

Re: flings
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 9:57 PMi have had a few "affairs" lol this past year since me and my ex boyfriend (cap) had broken up. I certainly dont mind them... but i do in the end... gett hurt or start feeling guilty. And ive come to realize that its not worth the one night of good sex vs. weeks of guilt. But if i had my way all the time... id be in a long term relationship where "flings" wouldnt be even a thought in my mind. Def. having that feeling for the other person, and its mutual, makes the experience 10x better. And agreeing with u desiree, i also dont want there to be constraints on how close me and the guy get. I hate restrictions dammit. lol

Re: flings
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 12:30 PMit's not my m.o. but if something intriguing comes along i don't flinch
i would imagine that a fling would be easy for virgos since we're more mind-led than heart-led, non?
i don't tend to have big attachment issues
but then my moon is in cap...which means emotionally "cold" -

Re: flings
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 9:35 PMspeak for yourself on the "mind-led" bullshit!
Of course, I have Taurus Moon, Scorpio Rising.... Venus Mars and Pluto in the 12th in Libra.
Fuck, I'm just me. Crazy, emotional, and loving it every step of the way. Looking for others to walk with me. -

Re: flings
Wed, May 21, 2008 - 6:59 AMYeah, I'm more "mind-led" than "heart-led". I'm working on letting it be ok to have more feelings though.

Re: flings
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 5:54 PMNever been able to do that.I tend to get too serious too fast, casual sex simply doesnt interest me.There absolutely has to be some sort of an bond and relationship there or I will feel my time is being wasted. No matter how good the sex,if my heart isn't fullfilled out the door he goes.Permanently.

Re: flings
Tue, May 20, 2008 - 11:19 PMFlings are great fun.
Friends with benefits? I would hope that my partner is my friend along with all the "benefits". :)
One night stands I've done. Generally worked out okay, but I prefer longer flings or long term friends with benefits arrangements.
Usually I pursue open relationships, but lately I'm less into flings and lovers other than my partner. -

Re: flings
Wed, May 21, 2008 - 6:11 AMCan't argue with what is meant to happen... -
-
Re: flings
Thu, May 22, 2008 - 6:45 PMdefinitely more interested in long-term monogamy...
my mind tells me that flings are fun, and i usually go for it when the opportunity arises, but afterwards i usually don't want to continue anything, as the experience tends to leave me feeling empty, and craving the long-term relationship.
