i can't help but snooped into other sun sign tribe, and alot of the maren't feeling the love for us virgos. some aries even advice "to turn and run" in the presence of a virgo. i thought that was funny. in the scorpio tribe the feeling towards virgo is intense. not in a pleasant way. on the statement of virgo's mutable quality "virgo able to serve anyone, anywhere", one scorp chided - 'that's nothing to be proud of'. one some in the taurus tribe think we're too annoying with our criticising to even be considered romantic. that is just funny, even though you'd want to publicly disagree, some points do strike a chord.

lol. just thought i'd share.

That is too funny. I'm married to an Aries and a lot of my friends are Scorpio. We aren't as critical as some because knowing we can be, most of us have learned to keep it to ourselves. Besides the fact that we are usually more critical of ourselves than we are to anyone else. If these people would look into their whole charts, I'll bet most of them would find that they have at least 1 planet in Virgo and then the last laugh is on them. Have a great day.

My ex-boyfriend (a gemini) accused me of being a "stick in the mud" because I'm part Virgo (cusper)...well little did he know it was just because I had to spend so much time taking care of him and cleaning up after him, that it didn't leave much time leftover for me to have fun with him. But now that we broke up, I'm having the time of my life! My friends have even exclaimed that the cool me is back...ha-ha, stick in the mud my ass.

Funny, I married a Gemini and I've been married for 10 and living with for about 25... He's no "stick" and is even more a PITA than me! YAY! Who'd have thought?

My chart only has 2 planets out of Virgo for a trine and so many conjunctions you'd think I was an archetype...

Oh well, as Lenny Bruce might say, "unF**k them if they can't take a joke.", except we're no joke as a group per se.

Happy Birthdays Fellow V's... nobody stands a chance when we all get on the same page and raise some "quiet" cain/cane?

It soon got rather hot in the Scorpy department when I, humbly, suggested that Scorpy perhaps is Virgos father & that the child perhaps, BY FAR, is the old ones superior when it comes to cleverness & wit! Taurus, isn´t that mostly about ignoring the scale at home and keep on munching on sausages? It´s flattering when "boss"-signs are annoyed with ones presence, that really is proof of something. To be THE perfect worker is something most people see as something positive (work=serving). And to be so versatile that work can be performed ANYWHERE, well that is just amazing. Is that really mere mortals, people(?) who are able to perform anywhere, in a jungle or in space?

My opinion people are just haters! Some Virgos do give other Virgos a bad rap.........with all that criticizing that goes on.............but for the most part we are down-to earth people, who really do like people and love help out. and of course we are smart and sexy! lol

But I guess being in the Love Department with us is a bit of pain..cause I know from my experience i'm not an easy person to be with...love is just plain ol' difficult

I see that often and it amuses me greatly. It seems that in different ways Virgo is some kind of a shadow personality for every single zodiac sign.

..and if Scorpios have a problem, I'd suggest them to stop following me!

Amen.... Just never works quite out that way... like a lost puppy!

Thats why I can't seem to take these tribes too seriously.... I meet alot of people from different signs... and have had relationships all across the board.

Yes... Virgo is the shadow... the first few hours of darkness after sunset!

Since the Sun travels backwards through the houses.... 1st, 12th, 11th, 10th...... The 7th house would be Sunset... and the 6th house would be darkness on the land :-P .

Same here.I find myself not really caring what sun sign someone is,it's less important to me than getting to know them as a person. And I have been surprized by some of the sun signs I've encountered that didn't fit the image of how they seemed to be.no one is simply one sign, and simularities interest me as much as differences.

Yes, at times I thought about being really sneaky and pointing at random direction saying "there's a conspiracy going on there!", but it doesn't always work.

Well, when I meet new people I don't ask for their birth data. Usually I learn such things after some time and I _hope_ it''s more about final touches and nuances than programming myself to interact in a specific way. Otherwise instead of real interaction I'd just stay home and study their charts...
... actually... what a wonderful idea! I amaze myself sometimes!

12th house is a shadow. 6th, ruled by Virgo is the opposite one. It's really err... similar and meaningful if you squint really, really hard.
Seriously though - Virgo is the last sign below the horizon. 12th house for a Virgo is Leo - relinquishing the ego. Aint easy. Even for many Virgos.

Yeah fuck what other people think.... If they can only judge on a sun sign about relationships.... AND make outcomes with it.... whats the point?

Leaves out the Venus for Love, the Mars for abit of Attaction and Action, and then a dash of Mercury to blend in mental compatibility....

If two people can't even commuicate clearly.... then how does the relationship even start....

              Yes that one too !!

Moon opposed Moon seems to be a hard relationship to keep up because of the opposites in biorhythm... One is tired... the other is wide awake.... One wants to go do something... the other is just not in the mood....

I think that squares are worse in this case. When we're dealing with an opposition, at least the elements involved in the aspect are compatible.

                  Sun, September 2, 2007 - 11:46 AM
my gf and i have both our suns and our moons squared by sign, along with a few other hard aspects. The things that make our charts work so well together wouldn't be noticed by comparing lists of our planetary aspects . . . it's more in the synastry --where planets fall in each other's houses and angles, as well as a few great aspects involving asteroids and nodes --not to mention an awesome composite chart. But the aspects between our suns, moons, venus(s) and mars(s) would never suggest the kind of compatability that we have.

Yes, yes, I understand everything except the part about asteroids. I've never actually put big emphasis on them and I'm not sure how they work in synastry.

Astrological compatibility is so complicated. Big lesson of humility!

i've been slow to warm up to asteroids, hypothetical points, etc. myself.
however, once we have a strong general understanding of a chart (our own in particular) we can pretty much just allow or invite those things to teach us about "themselves" by displaying themselves in the already familiar context. I look at the ones that make strong aspects to planets, sit on house cusps, fill conspicuous voids, etc. and see whatever I might make of them (from context).
We can also get more familiar with them when we see them strike strong notes in synastry charts.
The deal is, if they draw some new lines and form some new shapes, and we understand something(s) about the houses and signs involved, we've got stuff to extrapolate and triangulate with and their ACTUAL meanings and values will reveal themselves if we bother to look at them carefully.

It makes a lot of sense.

I'm bit afraid of my imagination running wild in my attempts to interpret using asteroids.
I have Mercury/Neptune square, I have to be careful!

I'm in a relationship with a Scorpio, the second in a year, and I find there is tension of misunderstandings.
For me, this relationship, and perhaps the dynamic is what I like when awkwardness (all on me, the nature of the misunderstanding) is has subsided.
My sign to sign reading said a 55% chance of working, as Scorpio will dominate and Virgo will fight tooth and nail. Since everyone can try to dominate, especially in the guise of servitude, I feel respectful dialogue about boundaries is the compromise, if it's star related at all.

Scorpios aren't easy to deal with sometimes, alot about them I've found intolerable, yet ironically I never could quite stay 'unmoved'.Respect always seemed to be foremost,if you can't respect them and stand up to them on occasion,or show understanding for their moodiness at times...then you haven't a chance in hell.Williness to compromise,if nethier can do that kiss it all goodbye.Hope it all works out for you Scott.

Aries thinks Virgo to cautious, and too much talk/think, not enough action.
Taurus thinks Virgo OVERCOMPLICATES (but is skilled in bed).
Gemini thinks Virgo is too worried about practical application, and too blind to alternate conflicting theories. AND a stick-in-the-mud.
Cancer likes that Virgo is helpful, but thinks Virgo is cold and cruel.
Leo thinks Virgo is all work and no play.
Virgo thinks Virgo is fundamentally flawed because the desired outcome (perfection) is inherently unattainable.
Libra thinks Virgo is distant, self-absorbed, stress-inducing, and takes the beauty and romance out of everything.
Scorpio appreciates Virgo's realism, but thinks V is unpassionate, uptight and boring.
Saggitarius thinks Virgo is hyper-pessimistic and no fun.
Capricorn thinks Virgo procrastinates and overcomplicates, but makes a good Quality Control supervisor.
Aquarius thinks Virgo is clever, and refined, but too hide-bound by past experience, Judgemental, and controlling.
Pisces thinks Virgo is uncompassionate, trapped in the mundane, worried about what doesn't matter and "just doesn't get it".

        Virgo's retort:

Aries: looks before they leap, all start, no follow through.
Taurus: lazy, too slow to start, not flexible enough, tendency toward obtuseness.
Gemini: buzzing, buzzing, buzzing going nowhere in circles -- lots of great ideas -- all to no avail. Twists the facts to suit their argument.
Cancer: Clingly, illogical, childish, overly-emotional fraidy-cats.
        Leo: Pompous, overblown, and silly.
        Virgo: hypercritical, off-putting.
Libra: Co-dependant, vain, sybaritic, prone to tell little-white-lies to avoid conflict.
Scorpio: Issue-ridden, selfish, manipulative, controlling, hyperdramatic.
Sag: unreliable, inaccurate, exagerrates or bold-face lies, messy, all promises, no follow-through, reckless.
Cap: Ruthless, selfish, power-hungry, not enough attention to detail.
        Aquarius: Too uncompromising, arrogant.
Pisces: NO concept of reality. Too idealistic. Doormat.

N.B. This is all very stereotypical, and I don't really hold to these beliefs -- it's an exercise of archetypical differences.

I had to make a different list....One for fun....

Though.... I always think of Virgo being related more-so towards the underdog. The one who really doesn't come off too pessimisstic, just observant of the mundane world.

          Aries: Follow their spirit
          Taurus: Stick to their convictions
Gemini: The ability to find meaning in the most improbable situations
Cancer: Able to rise your spirits up with a bright smile
Leo: Overdramatic, yet loyal... A good friend indeed
Virgo: Dealing with what everyone else over-looks
Libra: The ability to judge without emotional thought and bias
Scorpio: Sees the world in a land of extremes
          Sagittarius: Sandal walkers, expressive people
Capricorn: Able to achive the goal that they have their mind-set on
          Aquarius: Quarky, intresting...different perspective
Pisces: Able to share their glimse of perfection with the world
